Paint The Town Red!
Or, the ceilings white and the walls gray. I am pleased to share with everyone that the painting in the basement is complete. I started by spraying the ceilings and when the paint was dry I masked so I could spray the walls. Using an airless sprayer is definitely the way to go. I painted all of the ceilings in less then a day and after I got through masking it took less then two days to paint the walls. The masking process started out slow but once I figured out a process it went a lot faster. Total time was about a day and a half. At the end of the week I was able to paint the accent walls in the family room and fitness studio.

On Thursday I went to Home Depot to pick up the pre-hung interior doors. Since they wouldn't fit in my SUV I had to rent their moving truck. Getting them loaded wasn't a problem. My issue was how was I going to get them unloaded and down the stairs into the basement once I got home. Unfortunately my high school helper turned out to be "one and done" so I had to think of something else. Trish suggested I ask our server friends at the various restaurants we patronize. It worked! Josh from Perry Street Pizza agreed to give me a hand. All went well and by Thursday afternoon I had installed two doors.

I need to do some more research on how to install the doors. They didn't turn out as nice as I would have liked.
I also started installing the electrical outlets and closet lighting. So far, I have completely wired three circuits. This week I should finish all of the electrical work and hang the remaining doors. The flooring is scheduled for delivery this week so if all goes well I can start that next week. The end of the basement renovation is in sight!
My triathlon season officially came to end on Saturday. I completed the Priest Lake olympic distance race. This year I competed in a half, two sprint, and one olympic distance triathlons.
